A brief history of Kovach Inc.

In the spring of 1969, Stephen E. Kovach III founded Kovach Properties in Scottsdale, Arizona. Prior to relocating to Arizona, Mr. Kovach had spent fifteen years with E.G. Smith Organization of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, one of the nation’s leading industrial metal siding and roofing manufacturer/contractors during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Once established in Scottsdale, Mr. Kovach started marketing metal roof and wall systems in the western region of the United States. Shortly thereafter, Stephen E. Kovach IV joined the company as an installation foreman. In years following, brothers Rick and Eric joined the firm in the areas of accounting and sales.

Now the president of Kovach Inc., Stephen E. Kovach IV has recruited the third generation of the family, with Stephen E. Kovach V and Kyle A. Kovach providing support in the area of construction management. Kovach veteran, Scott Bourdo, has climbed the ranks now holding the position of vice president. Over the last 40 years Kovach Inc. has grown to employ 250 of the best and most experienced personnel the industry has to offer, many who have met 10 to 20 years of service.
